Garth McQueen 11/21/2003 03:44:20 PM Darkness has rained down upon a once bright future. A scary resemblence to the start of the Buffalo Bills and their humbled existence after 2 wins. Where o where is Alex VanPelt or Doug Flutie....there are no saviours. We will have to do it ourselves. Gentlemen, this is the reality of the day. Never before have I tasted this lemon of being blanked for 4 consecutive ends and never again do I want to be falsely hoped into a possible tie/win. However, we did demonstrate the Jack Story for a few ends by scratching back one rock at a time. However the Jack Story became the Jack Me Off story and we were left limp once again. Toss back a few, and slink home was all we were left with. The game synopsis is pretty simple. For the first 4 ends our opposition ran up the score to 7-0. Now it always does help to have extra members on a team, and it truly did appear at times they had 5-7 players as we seemed to take turns making shots on their behalf. Once we leveled out the team size to 4 on 4, we were the better team claiming a 4end 7-5 loss. The numbers are way too flaterring. The hole we dug ourselves into was just high enougth to cover our heads. Peering into the blackness of this hole, we did have glimmers of hope, but much like the blind, we really didn't know where we were going. Sorry to paint such a dim picture Mark, but I think the streak is effecting me. I didn't understand the joy in Mike's eyes as I trembled with the recollection to him today. Do you think he will be the saviour? Will the Moya Deem be MM ? Is he the chosen one and could it be we are in the Curling Matrix. We are Men with Brooms who have yet to play the Chicks with Sticks. I am sure that day will come and we will again be walking funny the next day. Let's not give up hope, not give up shots and especially not give up buying peanuts...they are after all, the only things we take home each night. Inspirational Picture: (yes, that's right....blank)
