Garth McQueen/CTAL/CTC 01/21/2005 08:33 AM Subject Pioli Papers - January 20 Yesterday, all our troubles seemed so far away Now it look as though they're here to stay Oh, I believe in yesterday Suddenly, We're not half the team we used to be There's a shadow hanging over thee oh, yesterday came suddenly Where that 7 points came from I couldn't say We played something wrong, now I long for yesterday Yesterday, curling was such an easy game to play Now I need a place to hide away oh, I believe in yesterday They handed our asses into our hands, now I long for yesterday Mark: The greatest danger for those who climb the heights of success is oxygen starvation. It would appear we are now breathing pure CO2. The words that still ring in my ear (other than Bruce kissing your ass all night) was Remax Skip Brian saying they had to bring their A game. Well let me tell you, we're C flight champions and we brought our C game ...so there. For everyone's benefit it has been duely noted that Bruce has a new love in his live: Mark Perfect Pioli: Nice Sweeping Mark, Great Shot Mark, Thanks for the compliment Mark, Bit me harder Mark and on and on . Had that continued I was about to call you Craven. Mark you had a consistent game and played well but Bruce, come on, he's married. Maybe it has to do because you both played 1st and 3rd. Seems like the odd positions will take odd positions. Ok enough bitching, but before I forget, does anyone have a wetsuit for Mark. It may help with his sleeping accomodations at the 18star resort. I checked the weather pattern and it looks like rain. The game: Stats: CTFS: a few Remax: more than the board could hold Ends: tied 4 a piece Lead, Second, Third and Skip - NED (not enough data - however Bruce would say Mark was 110%) We were thoroughly trounced and trashed. Sure, I tried to walk off with some free beer, better to get something out of the night. Although it was a lopsided loss, we had nothing to learn and there were precious little highlights. Sorry I was supposed to be positive there. Good to get that loss behind us but after the game it was a discovery to learn how the entire league had mapped out our strategies. Seems like we will be facing a lot draw to the button for point type situations. On to next week, where the team of three will face the women. Please don't make it difficult to tell the difference. Bruce Clark/CTAL/CTC 01/21/2005 09:20 AM Mark: Father to Son:"Garth, how did you do at the baseball game today" Son to Father:"Daddy,I had a no hitter until the big kids got out of school" Mark we are a team. When we win, we win as a team. When we lose,we lose as a team. We take one for the team. There is no I in team. After the contest we forget about all our difficulties and enjoy each others company. That is much like the CTFS thinking. All for one and one for all. Opps, sorry,Mark,Bruce and Mauro will have to get an update from Garth on how the team gathering went for a departing team member. Mark Pioli 09:54 I'm sorry Garth did we hurt your feelings, we forgot how sensitive you HR guys are. Next week I will make sure to compliment you on all your fine shots. Garth I apologize I promise we will include you in our chatter just as you included us in your post game party.
