Garth McQueen/CTAL/CTC 03/18/2005 12:33 PM Subject Pioli Papers - March 17th Wow Mark so much history to talk about: 1. most successful season ever 2. least amount of beer drank 3. most amount of glass broken 4. I was not slow 5. I did not drop that bomb. 6. Mark almost fell again 7. Bruce is an idiot 8. Mauro is an idiot More than anything else, I did not employ chemical warfare in search of the ultimate victory. Remember we were playing a pretty seasoned team who know all the tricks. They tried the let's shake hands we're losing trick, plus the stink bomb. They were a crafty set of gaffers. I know that their second had enough goolash in his stomach to wipe out all of Welland. He used to belong to the Welland Golf Club. I was forever kicking dead rabbits, fox and birds off the fairway as he plied his stinky way through the course. It was half way through the game that I mentioned to Mauro that I thought I detected a trap taking place. We were sailing along pretty smoothly, stealing ends, taking points and really quite handily laying a beating on them. It just didn't make sense because they were in 11th and should have been better. I believe they had taken the time to calculate that a win could move them to A but a loss would not move them out of B. Mark, I still think they set us up. To the game: CTFS 10 WMCC 5 Ends CTFS 5.5 WMCC 2.5 Lead 90 Second 90 Third - not recorded Fourth - not wanted In the first end their skip missed an easy draw lofting up a steal of 4. We stole the 2nd and when Hiroshima hit, we stole another one. I don't think any of their team really recovered after that embarrasement. (I wasn't that bad last week). I don't know why we can't just put the nail in the coffin when we need to but once again we gave up 3 (that should have been 4....which makes me think they tanked that one too) and low and behold we had to take 1 in the 7th just to make them quit. Game over...we'll wait for the call and end up playing REMAX March 31st.....ya hoo.. All in all it was a very momentus year. A lot of fun was had by all. Hard to believe that Mike and I were undefeated. It is with sadness that we see our comrade George depart our employeer or vice versa, however he will always be and he will always remain part of the C Flight Champions. Sign him up Mauro, he's on the list for 2005 -2006. Now will he also be part of the "A/B Flight Champions" .. we'll have to wait and see. Mark Pioli/CTAL/CTC 03/18/2005 12:47 PM Garth you missed a couple 1. most green beer drank, 2 ( we should be able to break this one next year) 2. most times Garth defended IT contact forum 7 (kiss ass) 3. biggest lie ever, admit it Garth the smelliest stink bomb ever was yours. Thanks to George for bringing the power down this morning, nice parting shot. Garth McQueen/CTAL/CTC 03/18/2005 01:06 PM Talking about parting shots. In honour of our outstanding year, I have arranged through my own personal expense, 2 tickets per player to the Stanley Cup finals with transportation supplied by JetsGo. Let's go Leafs.
