Garth McQueen/CTAL/CTC 04/01/2005 09:03 AM Subject Pioli Papers - March 31 - The Second Season Begins Dear Mark: As you know Mark, ITPS has a new charter that talks to being a Team. I can tell you most definetly, there was no team in " Mike, you never made a shot all night - BC". Poor Mike,, he only missed the odd shot (that would be 1,3,5,7,,9,11,13,15), well and few even ones too. Bruce and Mauro were very hard on him after the game. It was strange especially after Bruce threw a once in a lifetime shot...too bad it was in the 1st end because we never saw it again. Well it was good to be on the ice again, the layoff had made us a little ruster but we grinded out a win while getting back in shape. FYI: We ended up in B division in 9th position and the Rockettes where in D. Game Stats: CTFS - 8 Spinosa Bakery - 7 Ends CTFS-3.5 Spinosa - 4.5 Lead - 10% Second 90% Third 90% Skip - 80% Mark: it was a hard fought game with back and forth action. I experience an alcohol free game which allowed me to be present for the entire time, so I never missed anything, unlike a few others who missed a ton. We took 3 in the first end when their skip slid his last shot through the rings while we were sitting 2. Bruce made the once is a life time shot by making the open draw to the button. (remember this for later). They took 1 in the 2 and 3rd. We played those ends pretty well and had control of the game. But once again I felt we had too many rocks in play but nobody listens (nor cares). In the fourth we took another 3 and it was 6-2. Perhaps someone did listen because in the 5 th there was only one in the house and their skip decided to blank the end. He must have known something because we ended up filling the house with rocks and when skippy slid his last rock through the back of the house to cut down their score (oh where was that draw weight then), they proceeded to take 4 and the game was tied after 6. Not willing to remember what had happened previously we again loaded up the house with rocks and when skippy slid one to the back (are you seeing a pattern here Mark), they stole 1 and we headed to the eigth down 7-6. Once again we proceeded to begin loading up the front of the house to make Bruce's life miserable. But I took charge and sent a boomer down to clear things up and get us back to an orderly finish. We had one buried in the house for one and their skip blew their last one through. That meant skippy had to draw into the house and I mean anywhere in the house. Now you should remember the line I told you to remember. Bruce with a stealy eye sent his rock hurtling towards the house. Our opponents were screaming Sweep, Sweep, Harder, Harder. Mike and I stood helpless at the top of the house watching the rock slip further and further and further and further (well, you know what I mean) into the house. The SOB shot finally stopped and counted as a back 12 biter. Nice shot Skippy. You used the entire house less 2 inches to make a cold draw. We all went away happy but this win was a weak one because our point total was low. It will continue to be an uphill battle over the next two games. Good luck all and Mike, just remember your unbeaten but slightly tarnished from last night. Bruce Clark/CTAL/CTC 04/01/2005 09:32 AM Mark: Yes it was an interesting game. Unlike Garth(nee Roger) I tend to find positives about the game and my team members. Yes Mikey did have a difficult game but never gave up.Thanks Mikey Yes Garth(nee Roger) did make a nice double takeout.I don't think that Mauro and I get enough credit as we are constantly have to adjust our game call realtive to Garth's(nee Roger) state of sobriety. Mauro had a very good game, one of his best!! I was satisfied with my effort. So it boils down to this, when I needed the team, the team was there for me.When the team needed me,I was there. No cursing,no rock/broom throwing etc.,just constant encouragement. As Garth(nee Roger) stated "You used the entire house less 2 inches to make a cold draw. " Thanks Garth(nee Roger) for getting an erection and measuring the less than 2 inches with plenty to spare. Garth McQueen/CTAL/CTC 04/01/2005 12:13 PM You're Killing Me....All you guys are Killing Me. Mark Pioli/CTAL/CTC 04/01/2005 01:43 PM Subject Re: Pioli Papers - March 31 - The Second Season BeginsLink I see I am just a disposable part in this machine. Congratulations on the win. If you want to get back to drinking and cursing, I think I can help the team out. I think you have to ride the Croatian's hot streak, as they say in Croatian Rijec folklor dolazi od engleske rijeci folk Transalated Mark is out, Mike is in. Bruce Clark/CTAL/CTC 04/01/2005 01:55 PM Mark: While Mikey continues to be a valued member of the team, let us not be to hasty in giving up your position. I don't know if Mikey can handle the pressure as evident from last nite. For that matter I don't know if Garth(nee Roger) can either. It could be the 3 M's and b.c. Nice ring eh???!!! Garth McQueen/CTAL/CTC 04/01/2005 01:57 PM Meathead, Mutant and Monster with Blind Courage. yea right.
