Subject Pioli Papers - April 7 - Funeral Edition 

Mike: It was not only our good friend Pope John that was put to rest last night. 
Yes, I am afraid we reached the peak of the mountain, but can go no further. Mike, our destiny 
is cast long before the event.  You must think of our team as NEO within the Matrix. 
We don't know what lies beyond. We move as if it is our own only to find out it was someone else's. 
Mike you must understand that our ascent to the next level will only happen when the oracle says it 
is time. I heard the oracle speak last year, but last night her voice was silent (apparently mine wasn't).  
I now know that Mauro was correct when he said we were the best in B.  I saw last night we are the 
best in our division but IT IS NOT OUR TIME. 

Game Stats: 
CTFS 6  WCMC 7     Ends: CTFS 2.5 WCMC 5.5     ..... the rest doesn't matter. 

As I had suspected, they were sand baggin bastards. The first four ends were "who blinks first". 
It was real battle with both teams making all shots. They blinked first and we went up 6-2 after 4.  
They then mounted a slow march to the eighth that saw them take 5,6, and 7 ends to tie the score 6-6. 
Perhaps the oracle was speaking for it was in every end that a matter of inches was the margin of our 
chances to put the dagger into this mouthy team. They had Mauro salivating for a win. It's the type of 
team that get's under your skin. To Maruro it was like sticking a tunning fork to his quad pack. He was 
a hummin .... 
Well Mikey, it came down to skip stones for the win and I will tell you Brucey threw one right to the 
button. On the way to the hack for his delivery, Bruce was as focused as I have ever saw him. Why he 
even gave off confidence. Mark and I looked at each other and knew he would deliver. It was like TSN. 
A perfect shot. Their skip followed with another perfect shot however he did bump instead of freeze. 
The shot was there but the margin of error was slim to none.   You know perfectly well Mikey that the 
last thing on our team is SLIM so therefore we ended up with none and the stone rested 2" from victory.   
We were the better team and we are the Best in B. We must take up the challenge to begin our final ascent 
for next year. We will be B flight champions in 2006 and we will learn how to keep the house clean....
because we're gonna begin next week.....

I am assuming the Funeral Edition with breakfast orders is the final edition. 
Unless we are resurrected from the dead, the POPE is not having much luck 
with this, so I doubt we will.
