Garth Mcqueen legendary curler needs some help. From a new pair of eyes. 

The 73-year-old curler is hospitalized at Fort Erie 
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center awaiting a transplant. 

McQueen was hospitalized Oct 24 in Fort Erie, and diagnosed 
with blindness.Although the curling team suspected this for some time. 

According to HealthCentral.com, the condition involves a 
thickening or scarring of the eyes. Eyes  are 
said to be an option for curlers in the "end-stage" of  their career. 

Speaking to the Associated Press on Tuesday, Mcqueen's wife, 
 Donna, said the star was sedated. 
"He can hear me, but he can't respond,but what else is new?" she told the wire service. 

McQueen's last words before being prepped for the surgery 
 were, per Donna, "Just give me a new pair of eyes, and I'll hit the button until I'm 100." 

McQueen awoke from sedation hearing that the new eyes were given to a 
german sheppard instead, responded "Please tell my skip I'm Back"
