From: mark.pioli@ctfs.com Sent: Wednesday, August 26, 2009 11:57 AM Subject: Pioli Papers - Summer Edition Coinciding with the start of the Team Canada Olympic tryouts I got the call being invited to the CTFS 2009/2010 curling team. Team Canada will face enormous pressure anything short of a Gold Medal will be considered failure. CTFS Curling Team will also face enormous pressure anything short of a B-flight championship will be considered failure. But I am up for the challenge. Much like the third string goalie, I have been asked to spare for a few games for the upcoming season. Just to let everyone know I am honored to be apart of the team again if only on a part time basis. I have heard that Brett 'Bruce Clark' Favre may come out of retirement for the upcoming season. "My expectations are high for this curling team" Clark said. "I didn't come out of retirement to lose." Unfortunately before I commit I would like to see a couple of changes. 1. The days I play, please don't jack up the cost to $20 a player seems everytime i play no money is left in the kitty. If I wanted to be fleeced for cash I would play in Niagara Falls. 2. I have gained a few pounds this summer and my colonoscopy is not for a couple of months so I will only be able to sweep every other rock until my weight is back down to a healthy 200 pounds. 3. Please let me know what surgery's garth has planned for this year so I can plan my playing time accordingly. 4. If you are joining the Burlington Curling League transportation will be provided. I anticipate the team accepting my requests and I look forward to playing but as always please ask Mike first.
